What is a Club Mexicano?
A Club Mexicano combines the two-club split of a Club Americano with the live, standings-based rounds of a Mexicano. Players stay split into two clubs the whole tournament: partners and opponents both come from that structure, but nothing is drawn upfront. After round 1’s random start, each club ranks its own players, pairs its 1st and 2nd, then its 3rd and 4th, and the top pair from Club A meets the top pair from Club B.
The result is a club-versus-club afternoon where the best of each side keeps meeting the best of the other, round after round, without anyone needing to plan the pairings by hand. Scoring stays individual throughout, so every player is still climbing a personal ranking underneath the club structure.

How it works

Split into two even clubs
Each club needs the same, even number of players. Four and four is the simplest starting point.

Round 1 is a random draw
With no standings yet, the first round pairs players within each club at random.

Every round after redraws within each club
Each club ranks its own players and pairs them 1st with 2nd, 3rd with 4th; the top pair from each club then plays the other.

Stop whenever you like
There is no built-in final round. Play as many rounds as the court time allows, then the leaderboard decides the winner.
Scoring and ranking
Scoring is individual points, same as a Classic Mexicano. The club structure only decides who can be partnered and which standings drive the redraw.
Points per match
Matches are played to a fixed total, commonly 16, 24 or 32 points.
Ranking
Players are ranked by total points scored so far, regardless of club, and each club’s own ranking is what drives its own redraw.
Tiebreakers
Level totals are split by point difference, then by match wins.
Sit-outs
If a club has a surplus that does not divide evenly into courts, those players rest that round, rotated fairly within the club.
An example: how each club standings redraw the pairs
This is a real sequence produced by the PadelEasy engine. Each club ranks its own players, and the top pair from Club A always meets the top pair from Club B.
Round 1 is random since there are no standings yet. From round 2 on, PadelEasy re-ranks each club’s players separately, pairs 1st with 2nd and 3rd with 4th within the club, and matches the top pairs against each other.

Do both clubs need the same number of players?
Yes, and that number needs to be even on each side. Four and four is the smallest working split.
How are partners chosen each round?
After round 1’s random draw, each club ranks its own players by points and pairs 1st with 2nd, 3rd with 4th, and so on, all within that club.
Can a player ever partner someone from the other club?
No. Partners always come from the same club; the redraw only changes who the clubmate is, not which club they are from.
How many rounds does it last?
As many as wanted, there is no built-in final round. Play stops when court time runs out and the standings decide the winner.
How is this different from Club Americano?
A Club Americano draws the whole rotation before play starts. Here nothing is fixed upfront; partners are redrawn from each club standings after every round.
